- Please allow your body to adjust to the schedule, especially if you are coming from overseas, so that you may be fully present during our sacred time together. Most of Arizona, including Sedona, does not observe Daylight Savings Time. Keep in mind that during Daylight Savings Time, ending classes after 9:00 p.m. in Arizona is the equivalent of ending class after midnight for east-coast students, so please plan accordingly.
Students are encouraged to bring yoga mats, pillows, blankets, special chairs, neck holders (the kind you wear on airplanes) and anything else you want to be comfortable during our sessions. Most people like to lie down on the floor for regressions, and the floor in our center is not carpeted, so please be advised and pack accordingly. Maximize your comfort!
For your comfort, our classes are always 100% fragrance free. Everyone knows what it's like to be in a closed space all day with someone wearing a scent they dislike. Added to that, increasing numbers of people have allergies to fragrances, including natural oils; we usually have several individuals who have serious allergies in our classes. For this reason, we will not be using products like sage, incense or scented candles, and all students are requested to avoid wearing perfumes, aftershave, body perfumes, essential oils and other scented products, and reserve their use for another time.
- Dress is always casual!
- We provide filtered water, coffee, tea, and healthy snacks during class time. All meals are on your own. There are many restaurants in Sedona, for just about every eating style, from vegan and organic to fast food! A partial list will be provided to students. We recommend obtaining lodging with a refrigerator/microwave to reduce meal costs.
- Those who fly need to provide extra space in their luggage for the return trip, as they will receive books, a binder, and other class materials. All class supplies are provided--even pens, and wherever possible, the materials we provide are both recycled and recyclable--even the pens!
